I think W means wide gauge and SP means special parts. "Special parts" could stand for any non standard part installed on your tractor at the factory.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken.
Nice tractor!
It could even be your side curtain's.
Joe,
That's a good looking 22, were the engine covers with the tractor or did you purchase them elsewhere? 👍
The blue cattle dog looks at home there lookin after your cat. I was wondering is it a cattle dog or a natural stumpy tailed cattle dog. As we have a breed here that is naturally born with a stumped tail. I have two red stumpies at home to look after my cats.
Mike.
Thanks for the response. The engine curtains I made myself along with some of the sheet metal. I couldn't find anyone who had a 12" louver die. These are 3" louvers that a local hot rod enthusiast punched for me. The dog belongs to a friend of mine. He is a true cattle dog and makes sure we are working all the time.
Joe,
The 22 looks great. You have made great progress throught the completion of the tractor! Done very well for your first Cat restoration. Come on up again and we can hook you up with another tractor.😆
The "SP" could have represented one of the different options avaialble on the 22 at that time such as a belt pulley, gearing, maybe electric start, etc.
Greg
the "SP" question has been discussed before. If i remember right it was determined that the "SP" mean some kind of modification to major componets ie: engine, transmission, undercarriage. it did not mean an addition of a belt pulley, lights, etc. Maybe the one who set us straight last time will chime in again, I do not recall who that was........maybe KCB?
