Can anyone tell me what the oil capacity is for a 44 hydraulic unit?
The unit, hoses and cyl's have been flushed and are MT
Thanks👍

According to my parts book it says 14 quarts and the 46 unit uses 7 gallons. Quite a differance. Charlie

Wouldn't you think the level will drop when you fill the hoses and the cylinders? Ya don't want to hurt anything. Charlie

For sure the cyl's and hoses will lower the fill level, I picked up a 5 gallon pail, I'll start with the 14 qts, run it to fill the cyl & hoses then add more oil, once it warms up, I can see into the fill tube, If I can see oil in the fill tube when its warm it should be enough oil in the system.

Well I over filled my D4C and when the fluid got hot it expanded and the blade would not go down on float, I had to force it down with the control. I figured it out before hurting anything. Your right about letting the fluid warm up before finally filling the tank. Good luck. Charlie

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
