Cat Fifteen serial number location

Is there a location on the tractor for the serial number stamped into a casting if the tags are missing? Tags on one of my 15s are long since gone.

It's stamped on the top of the transmission in front of the steering clutch adjustment cover plate. It's also on the boss on the left side of the engine block where you can bolt on a generator. It should be next to the holes.
