Just happened to run across this article on building a diesel injector tester using a bottle jack. Looks to be pretty good....thought folks might be interested😊 😊

I have a factory built tester that is somewhat like that. Do not know the brand and it out in the shed which is burred in snow right at the moment. I do not know how old it actually is but I have had it for better than 40 years. Works just fine.

I have 2 of the bottle jack type but now have a fancy new type. Im not sure but I bought my last bottle jch type at NAPA for $110, it was the adapter fittings that cost the money

Bacharach makes good testers. I have about 3 of them.

Here is one that was made by Al Smith. http://www.antiquecaterpillar.net/ACF_v2/showthread.php?t=2829

< In regards to info posted in the link provided by Old Magnets > That is a good idea using a bottle jack, but I don't know about using JB weld on 2000 psig in that mod.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
