Bought an old Caterpillar TwentyFive and have a hard time finding any info about it on the Internet. From what I have learned the Cat TwentyFive is a rebadged Cat Twenty. First tractors had the old Caterpillar logo on the radiator and later machines had straight fenders, am I right?
I think around 630 TwentyFives was built but how many Twenty was built?
I have no information about the serialnumber yet.
Please, I´m looking for any information I can get about my first Caterpillar.
Think the carburetor is lying on the fender so not much is missing but motor is probably stuck. Bought it unseen... Is it hard finding parts for this machine?
Many thanks
Erik/Sweden

hello Cletracker ,nice find there .
the cat twenty-five was a redesigned cat twenty pl serial number.most part from the twenty pl will inter change onto the twenty five.
later twenty-five had some changes ,exhaust manifold, straight mud guards ,
when you find the serial number it should be 3c1-638 ,built from 1931 to 1933.

weight -7700 pounds
gauges -55'' and 42''
horse power -28hp

hello Cletracker ,there were 6598(6332 built) model 20 pl serial number made ,there is a gap from serial numbers 6320 to 6586 (266) .these 266 number were cat 25 tractors and giving the 3c serial number ,some cat 25 can be found with the serial number pl on the back of some of the 25 3c tractor .bruce oz

Thanks alot for the information. I have a hard time understand why I find a very rare Cat TwentyFive when I can´t find one single Ten or Twenty. I know a handful of Fifteen and TwentyTwo but not more than a total of 5-10 together. I have an original sales brochyr for the Ten/Fifteen and one for the Thirty stamped with the swedish importer Graham Brothers.
Well this is my first Caterpillar crawler and I must say it gives me a lot o joy.
Will post more pictures and serial number when I get it delivered.
You can find my other crawlers here, sorry only in swedish but pictures talks for themself.
Many thanks
Erik

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
