Once again you are in for a treat.

Many of you know that my brother builds 1/8 scale models of older Caterpillar equipment. I have posted pictures of the previous models on this site.
He has now finished a DD9G that is stunning. Here are a few photos that I will post. I may provide a link to a web folder on my server that has all the pictures of this model. There is an overall view of the DD9G which is sitting on a door...that door is 79 inches long.

I can answer some questions but member 91J is the builder. I will inform him that this post has been put here.

Enjoy the pictures!

Hi Pat, A very nicely detailed model. Detail that I haven't seen in a wood model before. Great job by 91J! Thanks for posting.

Lee

Thanks Everyone for the comments and kind words. It is very much appreciated.

My brother is very talented and patient! He currently cannot post to any threads even though he has been a member for a long time. He has emailed ACMOC about this issue and the reply is that they are aware of this problem and are woking on it. Yet he has been blocked since last December. Apparently several other members have this same issue.

Hock D9G,

He does have a 651 that he built. That combined with the DD9G is over 12' long! We were not able to put the two together that day. As you can imagine...storing models this huge and keeping the humidity just right is a task in itself.

Here are a few pictures I will repost of the 651.

Thanks for posting Pat and thanks to your brother for sharing his talent with us. I just saw the real deal last week end at the Brooks OR show. Maybe the Brooks folks should paint that machine wood colors to match your brother's model.
