I have a cap😊
Jason, I have the cap just missing the stuff underneath. Does it come as an assembly ?
Not sure I think that I extra springs
Jason, Let me know as there is only the cap....no springs, seals ,etc
...Thanks, Bill
Cysco, I just replaced the thermostat on my D2 this week. The original part number was a 4F7059 but changes to a 6F9467. There is a brass retainer that goes on top of the thermostat. I had to make a little puller out of a 3/8" bolt and a socket in order to remove it. I think the retainer is still available, but the late model tractors changed the housing and don't use a retainer. Here are some pics that might help. Tom![]()
Cysco,
Which style cap do you have? the later kind on the right has no spring just a brass plate and washer, the pressure relief assembly is part of the radaitor, not the cap.

Thanks TomP...I will make note of the part number and get one.
Here is a pic of two, slightly different caps, both used on the late model D2 and similar vintage tractors/ power units, with the same engine, not much more than a big brass plate, a rubber seal and something to hold it together. The one on the left is a 5H4041 and the right is a 5M7591. On the one on the left, the little brass ring goes above the plate.
