Radiator Tank Sealant

You would I expect have to fully sandbast inside Tank and that would not be easy , as feel in time Coolant may seak in under your Resin. I have repaired crack's in tank with Cat epoxy resin and so far Successful . Those 10/15 Tanks can be a real pain . Good luck LJ

Hey Matt, I use Marine Tex. It has worked wonders for me. Check them out online. You wont be disapointed. I have used this to fix fuel tank bottems and to repair bottem tanks on radiators. Must be clean first. Mike

Matt , I used the gas tank sealer epoxy on my lower rad. tank on my Ten. The Caswell epoxy worked great. I did the tank in three steps. First I sealed the bottom by pouring it in and letting it harden overnight. I then turn the tank on it's side and poured it and let that harden. On the third side I taped over the lower rad. tube hole and did the same. I put a good thick coating on. I had to use a hole saw to reopen the hole for the rad. tube. I did mine about a year ago and have had no problems. Hope this helps , Rick

Hi Matt I used Red-Kote in my fuel tanks and the oil cups on the cat aircleaners to prevent leaks. I have had good luck with it. It is made by Damon Industries www.DamonQ.com or 1-800-362-9850. Just my $0.02
