Just want to say thanks old magnet for all the info. I did it while in frame went with 42mt $ 340 12 volt had generator redone to charge 12 volt $110 works great little hard to get running when cold but after that its nice to be able to shut off do some work get back on push a button and away I go thanks to all that helped

I did an electric start conversion on a 70 D #12 grader, with Old Magnets help and worked great also. I went the extra step and got some aftermarket pre-com chambers with glow plugs,now I hit the decompression lever let the engine turn over to build oil pressure heat about 30 seconds and we are in business !! It's good to have knowledgeable people here that will share it.
