The pony engine is built by Caterpillar, and the carburetor type is Zenith TU4C, and it is the same carburetor as the D4 pony.
These guys on the following website will be able to help you out with a rebuild kit.

How about parts for the pony motor rebuild
Thank you
Parts to rebuild the pony are becoming very hard to obtain, and many people prefer to do a direct electric start conversion, particularly if they live in an area where the cold is not extreme.
The engine bearings can be machined up by a machine shop .. however, the pistons are practically unavailable .. but the rings can be obtained from Hastings. Seals are available from any industrial seal supplier, and gaskets are available from Cat or Olsons Gaskets.
The pony can often run to $1000 to rebuild, if a major rebuild .. involving block boring, perhaps sleeving, and crank grind .. is needed.
Do a site search using "pony engine" and you'll find plenty of discussions involving pony repair.
ozdozer, i live in the extreme cold and will have all my fleet (THE HOOD, BISMARK, ROLLERLESS) of D6 9Us on electric starters. i just started THE HOOD at -32C with a little help from the ether bunny, LOL
i gave on pup motors long time ago because they costed more to fix then putting electric starters. old magnet is the expert on this and he will be along shortly.

I Am Still Have Some D6 Poney Parts .
KoO from reading some of your past post, aren't you using a little propane to assist on your cold starts?
I added direct electric start to one of my D4 7U's last summer instead of rebuilding the pony . So far, it's started easily in 5F (-15C) temps, I hit the starter for a few seconds, then open the throttle and give it a sniff of ether. Rumbles right to life. It works so well I plan on doing the same thing to the other D4.
Thanks to everyones help. So I tore my motor down looks like connecting rod bolt came apart nothing hurt other than bent rod found a used one.
Next question I have It looks like I need water pump rebuild on pony motor can anyone give me some insight on that and anywhere I could possibly find rod bearings and main crankshaft bearings for pony motor.
Thank You
