I recently acquired another D7 3T. The guy I bought it from said it was missing the magneto when he bought it but pop started it whenever he wanted to hear it run. Included in the deal is this core of a Bosch American MJK4/2 180A 311. At first glance it looked promising,  however curiosity got the best of me and upon further inspection it seems to be missing the distributor rotor. Not a big deal as parts seem to be available for this model but the only schematics I can find online or in my manual show what seems to be a different drive gear and I’m not sure how the rotor would fit onto the version I have. Any advice would be appreciated.
while fiddling with the magneto and spinning the drive I noticed a rattling noise inside like there’s something loose and sometimes the drive won’t turn one way or the other. Is that normal?

I can see the rotor shaft is broken in the gear 8f3176 and the d7-3t magneto is countercluck wise

Welcome! I don't have much to offer here, but The Brillman Company has an online catalog that you can source some parts. They also show different magnetos available for purchase/exchange. A lot of folks here in the west convert from pony start to direct electric, as our weather isn't too harsh.
Keep us posted on your 3T. It looks like it has the perfect patina to it and not ridden hard like some. JM

Thank you both. I was able to get the broken shaft out of there by clamping the broken rotor shaft in the vise and twisting and pulling the gear with no damage. I will continue to disassemble to find the rattling noise in the drive coupler unless that’s normal.

Maybe you have a screw or washer jumping in and is stuck on magnet
