Oil Gauges Cat Cave
Many years ago we started to Re manufacture the Early Oil Gauges for our own Caterpillar Collection. ACMOC decided they where to start making the Oil Gauges Too. So we Stopped this Cat Cave Project expecting ACMOC would carry it throu. But ACMOC only made the front Decal Sticker and a conversion ring or something made of plastic. Which Goes against my Originality on Restoration projects.
I was informed that the ACMOC club was struggling with Manufacturing the Metal Cans. I tried to offer my help but ACMOC BOD’s Declined.
Brewzer. Has a very nice Board with the Different Oil Gauges Used on Early Caterpillar Machines. Published in an ACMOC Magazine (I cannot remember the Issue Number) If your reading this, would be Nice to see a Photo of your Oil Gauge Display Board.
Snr Catman being a Toolmaker. Made all the Tooling Required to Re Manufacture the Oil Gauge Cans. With Two Different Versions. Rear Mount Like in photos below. We Re Cast the Oil Gauge Brackets for the Cat 30 already. And the Same Can but with a Flange around the Top with 4 holes for mounting into a Dash Panel Like the Cat 20 8C , Cat 22, Cat 35 etc.
All the Cans have been Zinc Plated and Yellow Passivated All Within a Very Tight Tolerance to Fit the Front Bevel.
We Started to Manufacture the Front Bevelled Glass.
Does Anyone Need Any Brand New to Spec Oil Gauge Metal Cans ?. Make a Great Night Light Holder or Hanging on Christmas Tree
