Hi,  I'm trying to figure out any and all information about this particular motor grader.
Year, Pony Motor specs, anything that will make it a little easier finding parts.
The grader serial number: 3U5220
Engine: either 1 or i plus H5768 (1H5768)
UPDATE: transmission needed too. Cracked on left side and someone tried to weld it. :( I may be able to stitch it but that weld is big and long so... Other option is replacement.
Brake Master cylinder - for either rebuild kit or purchase rebuilt
Wheel slave cylinder - for either rebuild kit or purchase rebuilt

Would love to find a full install of parts for a ripper bar (shafts, bar, rippers, etc. everything)

I believe the 3U series has the D315 engine, same as D4.  More rpm than the D4 and a lot more HP.
Model was made in 1955
Many various parts manuals for the 112 on eBay.

🤔Humm what I gather from your post is you have a 112; 3U 5220 Motor Grader and the Diesel engine has been replaced with the engine S/N 1H 5768.
Is that correct ?
The 3U had the 4 cylinder D315*
The 1H 5729 to 1H 7692 are 1940 D8, 6 cylinder engines
* 🤔 Which brings up a good question... What year did the D315 start production ?

I believe the D315 came into existence in 1947. Jim Allen did quite extensive research on the D315 about 5 years ago but most of it was for a publication in a magazine other than ACMOC. I don't recall where it appeared but he frequented this forum at that time.

Sorry, I was also going to add, if you put up some pictures we may be better able to help with answering your questions. I would also add a $45. membership to ACMOC gives you access to a plethora of online manuals that will answer all your questions on your model and give you invaluable insight to that model's quirks and idiosyncrasies. eBay is another good place to find manuals. I've found prices to be reasonable from $20 to $100 With that said, I have over $1000 in manuals for my No.311 Adams Motor Grader so $45 is cheap. And, and, AND did I mention that you get to mingle with fantastic like minded people?

Hi Dan,
I didn't think this engine has been replaced and it's 4 cylinders.
I took your advice and joined.
Also, I've added pictures and a new need, discovered yesterday.
The transmission is definitely broke and needs mending or replaced. I'm in need of knowing the model of transmission and the types/models of equipment it was used in. Basically a cruise reference of sorts.

That transmission was only used on the 112 grader.
Is your transmission failing/broken or just leaking at the weld ? if just leaking and the internals look ok, would think about patching it rather than replace.
