Cat 22 rear starting crank was created by Peter C

Having never seen one but knowing it was a Caterpillar option I would guess that this one is homemade. Doesn't look like Cat quality. Any thoughts?

Agreed, doesn't seem to match the parts catalog diagram. Still, presumably it gets the job done

Original CAT rear starting would have the jaw inside the transmission case and a special casting that holds the shaft with a spring to disengage.

Yes, now that I am home and can look at my parts manual I see what it should look like. I wonder how long of arms you would need to operate the choke and crank to start it!
Thanks for the thoughts. Now I don't feel the need to try to buy it!
