The newest Holt tractor parts manual

Got this little gem printed from my local Cat dealership. Midland press has all manuals for old tractors going back to early holt, although they don’t sell to the public anymore, as they were bought by cat. I had to go through the parts department. This manual was originally issued June 17 1922. I wonder if the last time caterpillar had a hand in printing this manual was a hundred years ago. Or if some hairbrained person like me has ordered one in the last century.

Side note, what do we think the chances are of being able to find original lights? Maybe half a tenth of a percent? Or even yet, the generator? I’m not holding my breath. According to the manual, there was a light package dating back to 22’, but out of all the t35s I’ve seen, 0 of them have lights. Probably for a reason….

Super awesome you were able to get a manual printed!

This is just my opinion, but I prefer the older photograph style parts books as compared to Cat's line drawing style parts books that came after it.

Bruce, thanks for the website. The book come with that included. And the prices hurt to look at. Complete idlers for $25, tracks $135 for a complete side.

AnthonyF, I agree, the pictures are nicer, but the layout is a little weird. The numbers listed aren’t part numbers, theyre picture numbers. So in order to find the part number, you need to find it, then source the number, then find the number in the back of the book, then that’ll show the part number. The drawings aren’t as detailed or pretty, but the descriptions are a little more streamlined.

Interesting that the cylinder head comes up twice in the price list. Perhaps once bare and once as a complete assembly?

That would be my guess. Caterpillar was expensive way back then too..

227.50 was the price for a new loaded cylinder head for those why don’t know where that number came from
