For what it is worth, I have a dozen or so drive couplings from (I believe) diesel forty, RD6, early D6 etc. and early D8. I am not sure what I have or how to figure out what I have. There is a coupling shaft still on one of the PTOs here (off diesel 40) that matches a couple in the pile of couplings I have. There are also coupling shafts that fit the (six tooth) BEE-GEE hyd. pump sets here and the ten tooth opposite ends match the comparable end on the other shaft out of the Diesel 40. So, I believe I have the correct shafts. Anyway, how do I find out what I have here so I can sell them. I can't list them for sale until I know exactly what I have. "juiceman", you really should come by here next time you are near Chico. I'm just outside Chico.

ray what i meant was the output side of the ag pto box is a standard spline. well the one on our machine is anyway. and we use it to drive a ex army garwood winch. a splined sprocket on the pto box output shaft and a chain to the drive gear of the winch it works a treat and the chain is the intended weak point there is also a spring steel roll pin in the winch gear as a weak point too. when we rebuilt it a few yrs ago we had great fun getting it off as they had bolted the mounts to the winch and then welded them to the tractor. so of course it was now shrunk fit.we got it off in pieces

Thank you for the offer Mr. Green. I used to know some nice folks by Cohassett. If I ever need parts, I will call on you. Hopefully when things cool down and green grass! JM

Here's some instructions and parts lists that show drive shaft part numbers, but I don't have any more info on identifying shafts.
