Has anyone ever seen this kind of radiator used before? I’ve looked at various t35 holts that also have the radiator exposed (no front guard) but they all look like a normal radiator core. Was this an early radiator repair shop job or was this a legit option? If so, was there supposed to be a screen to keep bugs and debris anway? All my 2 ton parts books don’t go back far enough to show holt t35s.

Best tractors and early Caterpillars in 1925 still have the tube radiators.probably a early 2 ton also would. My Holt 2 ton is later than yours and has the later style.

Nice looking 2 ton. I’m going to keep the radiator as is then. I didn’t know if it was wrong and I’d need a core made up, but I like the look of the tubes.

I am a 3rd generation radiator man. My best guess is that some radiator shop did this for the owner. That core style is round finned tubes. Between the shop and the tractor owner, they must have decided this was the best cooling option for whatever environment the tractor was operating in.
