Sorry you can not view the video, it is interesting.

They are using Side-Boom Cats and Cat Loader, move a section of track, bolt it to the one the locomotive is sitting on, pull the loco forward and repeat.
When they get to a turn ( a couple of 90 degrees) they use loader and Cat to pull the track around, effectively "spinning" the whole works.
Big IRON and BIG CATERPILLAR Equipment!

Side-booms have revolutionized recovery and movement of train cars, locomotives and many other pieces of equipment.  In many ways, the Side-boom machines put the RR Cranes (Big Hooks) out of business.  The "big hooks" are all relegated to museums or sent to scrap yards for the most part.
