Hello all,
Is anyone attending or participating in the upcoming Biloela Heritage Rally next month? I missed out on all of my local events this year due to other commitments, but spotted this event coming up and thought it would be a good excuse for a little interstate holiday.

Hi, D8Dude.
I'm still stuck down in Tassie until early July, waiting for a bathtub to take me and my camper back across the ditch to the REAL DowNunda. I have one call to make when I do get back across said ditch and I will then hafta assess my priorities, whether to head West to W.A. to visit rellies over there or to head North for warmer climes - - - although Biloela can get a little 'fresh' in the mornings this time of the year too.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

This years show at Biloela is the Queensland state show held every two years .The state show is always a great show ..
The last one I was able to go to was in Oakey , Where i believe the record was set for the most Caterpillar machines at an event . Not sure if the Victorians managed to break the record . I know it was over 120 machines ,Maybe Lance will remember the exact number ..
Unfortunately I have no way of getting my tractors out there .. I am hoping to retire next year and hopefully get my tilt tray back on the road to be able to attend events again .

Hi, cable control.
I don't need accommodation. If I can make it there, I will be sitting IN my accommodation and that is what will get me there. I did it the same way about 6 years ago.

Thanks for the replies,
Looks like I need to get myself to Queensland and lock the show into my itinerary. I'd better book my accommodation ASAP by the sound of it, but I won't be deterred if I can't get accommodation close by, it's not an area that I've visited before, so if I need to travel further afield to find somewhere to stay, that just adds to the adventure for me.

ian i was at oakey too and it was a good display with examples from the earliest holt machines right up to the latest cat wheel loaders and graders. maybe one day well get the d4 fixed and be able to take it places. need to get a suitable preferably classic truck first though.
and the raglan fly in is a great event as well last time i went the raaf roulettes performed.
this years qld heritage rally is the tenth event so cindy and the club have some things planned for that and its also the centenary of Biloela so there is stuff for that aswell.
d8dude i can recommend the hotel settlers for a place to stay. it's where we stayed last year and will be again. they have cabins and rooms and its 5 minutes from the event grounds. to get to the grounds you head west from town and turn right at the intersection with the burnett highway and that takes you past the back of the grounds where there is the driveway to access the rear gate and enter the exhibitors area.
