Hello Folks. I recently picked up a Cat 944A with the Continental gasoline engine in it. I heed to pull the head off it, does anyone know which flat head 6 Continental engine it is?

Thanks, Bill.

My SN is 58A359, Continental gas engine.  330 = M330 Continental engine?

Yes, big flat head 6 cylinder. Manifolds on the machines left side.

D330 is the Cat 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel.  As strange as it may be, the Continental M330 does look like the 6 cylinder flat head engine in my machine.

Correct, that is Caterpillars information on the engine made by Continental. I'm trying to find out what model Continental engine Cat used so I can get a head gasket for it. My local Cat dealer basically laughed hysterically when I told him what I needed.

We'd love a few photos of it please Bill. I haven't seen a gas-powered Cat loader. Both sides and if you can post a video of it running, even better.

Cheers,
