yes the uncle had a CBC bearings bearing bible when he worked at mount isa mines the idiot lost it and has regretted it since. it had the crossmatch for most bearing manufacturers.If you can come up with a set of books from I.B.I. International Bearing Interchange they will have all the bearings cross referenced .
These are not published anymore but if you can find a set they will solve your dilemma .

if you goole the cat part number and can find the national stock number you can find a cross reference that way. this can also work in reverse for floyd he can search the timken etc pn and then via the nsn find the cat numbers. yes lot of work but might be worth it.

Thanks folks, I finally see some light at the end of this long tunnel! I really would like to know what I have. Recently a friend from our military equip. club spotted some #s on a pile of nine bearings. He recognized them as (TIMKEN) outer front wheel bearings for a WWII White half track.

Post the number of one Timken bearing and I will look it up in the bearing interchange .
