Good afternoon folks;
I stumbled upon your site and thought it would be a good resource to join.
I have inherited an old CAT 950 from my Father-in-Law. I'm trying to figure out the year so that I can try and find a service and operators manual for it. I searched the CAT site but the serial number does not work.
Hoping some of you fine folks may be able to point me in the right direction.
The serial number is: 58H339
Traxcavator Wheel Type, Made in Canada

Our chapter was lucky enough to receive many manuals, books etc. from a generous donor/member. I can look in the stash here and get back to you. Hopefully I might have what you need. JM

Thanks everyone;
Your assistance has helped me out greatly. My Father-in-Law was a diesel mechanic by trade, but loved working the wood lot just as much. He converted the loader part into a grapple arm and added a bunk trailer for his logging purposes. I'm sure some of his modifications will vary from the manuals, however it will give me a place to start. I also have some family/friends who are diesel mechanics and/or run have run heavy machinery out west. He always ran the Forwarder (CAT950) and I the skidder, so my knowledge of it is low. Had we only known his passing would be so sudden, I should have gotten some better run down on it.
