Lucky you Rick
What about me? I didn't get a invitation. 31yrs down the drain.  I joined when there were approx 200 members. I still have the roster.

Likewise for you side-seat, sorry for not addressing you directly! There’s been a lot going on.. more than my tiny brain can process it seems.. Anyone that thinks they’ve been missed, ie sent a cheque in and are still showing as a User on the forum as opposed to a Member send me a PM or post here and I’ll do my very best to sort out the mess! As I said would hate to lose members over this unfortunate issue.. to err is human!

Regarding First Class membership, I’ll look into it, but in the meantime renew as standard if you like and I’ll let you know going forward..

Thanks!

Regards,

Tony

I have avoided this thread because I don't want to give it life. But I'll chime in here.

Wombat is correct, if the membership would prefer a full-service, full-time staff that can take calls, process checks, and handle questions on-demand, then our dues would indeed need to be dramatically increased. I have a feeling there would be a significant outcry if the dues were $200/yr.

Also, there is not a damn thing shady about the current system. It says right on the renewal page that it is an auto-renewing system. On top of that, there is no one taking a dime from the Club.

I am tired of hearing that the Club is on a "slippery slope" or other comments like that. Here is the fact of the matter: Had the Club continued to operate as it had been it would have been out of funds by July 2024. We are now on solid financial footing, meaning we will be in business. Beyond that, we now have more members than we did a year ago. Please help me with how that is a slippery slope compared with the past?

As volunteers we are doing our best, we really are. Everyone that is spending time on behalf of the Club has the best intentions. We will make mistakes, we will be slow to respond at times, but not a one of us is getting paid for the work and we don't want to be. We all have jobs, and other demands on our time. A measure of understanding would be in order and appreciated.
