Hi all.

Im wondering if the membership here can help identify the model of Catepillar Grader as seen in the screen shots.  It is being used by the Canadian Army during WW2 in England.

The screen shots are from a Canadian Army Newsreel No3 as seen in the below Youtube link at the 8:54min part.

Canadian Army Newsreel, No. 3 (1943) - YouTube

Any help is much appreciated.

Picked up this bit of information some where....
"It appears that during the war years and a few years after, Caterpillar only offered the No. 12 grader. This model was manufactured as 9K and 7T series for years 1938 thru 1947. "

Hi, Folks.
I don't think that machine is an 'active' grader - no blade lift - which leaves me wondering what else it might have been adapted for as it still appears to have the scarifier.

It does appear to have #12 frame but there is no blade lift that I can see, either the earlier screw type or the later style with the hi-lift gears on the front wall of the operator's station.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
