Plan your summer show schedule and plan a trip to Portland Indiana in Aug 2024.  The Antique Construction portion of the Tri-State show will be featuring Caterpillar Equipment.

Howdy rustrunner,

Man I love that place. It's just up the road from me. Been in Indiana for 40 years and only learned of it about 10 years ago. Have been going every since. Never considered that I could be a participant in it... got room for a '60 Cat D6b or is that not antique enough? I'll definitely be there to see it all.

instead of perfection some times we just have to accept practicality

It is so cool. It was my first introduction to hit and miss engines and they have the largest functioning display from ones you can hold in your hand to giant ones with 16' flywheels and they are operable and running at the show. I bought my first hit and miss after going to the show the first time. I have a 1903 Warner & Swasey belt driven lathe and bought the 4hp hit and miss to drive it.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
