Jungle clearing

Jungle clearing was created by juiceman

I picked up a side job clearing an abandoned farm.
I got some good pointers from the abatement expert himself, the infamous Mr. D4e about how to tackle the mess.
Lets say that I have a new respect for folks that clean up lots commercially!
Abandoned for over 4 years, this former orchard had growth as tall as the ROPS in many sections.
Driving blindly I dodged “forgotten” T posts, a small Pomegranate orchard inside, and other debris.
Good news was that the former Veerkamp D6C (Thanks again Doug) finally got to earn some coins for poor old JM here. Bonus was saving 2 D4s from the scrapper!
Recovery photos will follow. Happy lurking! JM

More pics, different job today. Poor little 9U got the job done. Fumigation team scheduled for Monday AM per my neighbor. It would be cool to see some D4E’s in action, but lately it’s been JD8400T fuming.
First time this 9U got put to work since I adopted it. JM

Some fella's just have all the fun!
Next post, I will be looking for a tailseat standard gauge 3JD2 pulling a disk and roller.
Talk about weeds higher than the ROPS -- what ROPS!
Thanks Juiceman, lots of memories awakend.

grizzly manufacturing actually have a big set of offsets in their range they named "tiny" made specifically for this purpose of clearing over grown paddocks full of brush such as lantana and other woody weeds. made to go behind a D8 there is not much tiny about them.

A couple of kitties no longer abandoned. Glad I had something with grunt to pull them out from their resting places. Too much work for me to revive them, but some choice parts I can put to good use. JM

Nice tail seat there too, and there straight.

Question, will they start?

Regards

Sure! They will start after I free up the stuck engines! LOL. It sickens me to see things go to waste. They sat abandoned for over 20 years I am told; the pony on the 5T will roll over and has compression. Levers etc. are all stuck as well. Very amazed that the tracks were not stuck solid as well. Loose juice potion will be poured down their throats...
I asked if it had ever flooded out there before, with no reply from the occupants of the house.
A hex plug tool and an injector wrench was all I scrounged up from the tool boxes.
After I remove the Be-Ge on the 5T, I will offer the tractor for sale. Too many tractors here: I need to find another hobby, as I keep saying, not enough room here.
Headed out to fetch another D4 that I paid retail for. JM
