We we had a great time in Paso this past weekend as was last yr. Tom & Lori were great hosts tritip dinner first night with NY steak the next. But the parade was pretty specail to me as Don Hunter let me drive the No.111 in the parade and that was so KEWL Don was down by the boiler bein the fireman and Jackie was sittin on the stump that Don has on all his tractors while I spent about 2 hours at the controls up on top and beleave me it was a thrill. then after the day was over we loaded it up and left ealy sun morn to take it back to Ontario Calif then back for round wheeler the next day Thanks Tom & Lori

Thank you one and all for the photos. Very nice.
Willie, I couldn't imagine a more deserving candidate for operating that old steamer than you. Two peas in a pod! :>)

GWH:
Willie bugged me for 2 or more weeks asking what he would be driving in the parade this year. I want to drive the round wheeler
I want to drive Don's Holt 75----Let me drive - - - - and Don and I had cooked up this idea to let Willie and Jackie drive # 111. On Friday night at the barbeque Don and Willie and I were talking and I asked Don if he had anything to discuss with Willie. When Don asked Willie if "Willie would you like to drive # 111" I thought Willie would jump right our of his boots.
I agree George, Willie was one of the unsung organizers of the BSOT and has helped out so many collectors with parts and information for their tractors with little or no expectation of repayment. Willie is what the hobby is all about.

I see from the pictures that a water truck wasn't needed to keep the dust down.
How do you get by with dirving all that with out street pads?
Would like to have seen Willie up there smiling

The city allows this to take place every year. I was there one year with my John Deere, on steel spikes, and was approached by one of the fellows that seemed to be a person of importance, and he advised me that I could take my tractor through the parade route, if I so desired.
