I have a CAT 22 I would like to sell, and I have absolutely no idea what to ask for it. Can anyone give me an estimation of it's value? Or any pointers
on how or where I should go to sell it? I would hate to see it go to the scrap yard.
It's good and straight, has electric start, runs on gasoline or kerosene. Has front blade, hand crank has been converted to hydraulic pump drive for blade. Blade lifts and tilts. Original track and grousers. Has original manual and parts catalog. Seat is not original. Runs great.
Sorry I have no photos at this time but am working on it.

I'm surprised that none of the many Cat 22 model owners or followers have responded to your post:confused:
I am not all that familiar with or interested in 22's but in answer to your request for pointers I would say that pictures and an accurate description of the mechanical condition, particularly the undercarriage would help establish value. Your best bet would be to tap someone local to you to help evaluate the machine. Can't say that this model draws a lot of value as many were produced but do appreciate you trying to avoid the scrap option.
Once the description is established you could advertise on this BB or maybe go the ebay and Craigs list route. Good luck.

I bought one similiar to yours for $3000.00. It has electric start and a hydraulic blade. It's nice clean little tractor. It had a lot of work done to it before I got it which I felt made it worth it.

I've seen a nice restored (painted?) one with a dozer and crank start for $5500.00. It sold for that price.

Someone else had on one the board for sale. It was a wide guage 22 with a blade. I don't recall what he wanted for it or who it was.

I've seen a lot of bare 22s in good shape for about $2000.00 and down.

Hope this helps.
