A month ago i posted a problem with the clutch slipping and throwing
oil out around the fly wheel.I adjusted the clutch, changed oil and thought
i had all the problems solved.I have been runing daily for a week and the
clutch seems fine but i steel have oil flying.Does anyone know if there
is any way fixing the problem with out removing the clutch such as
additives or adjustments?I'm not sure what type seal it has (double lip or
"o" ring).
Thangs!!!

Not much you can do about a leaky seal except replace it.....and yes on the 17a it appears you have to pull the clutch for repairs.....unlike the later 47/48A models that had a longer spaced U joint coupling that would allow you to pull the shaft to replace the seal in place. (If that is not the case someone please correct me)
I am assuming the leak source is at the output shaft that uses a single lip spring seal #3H1590 riding on race #9F7086. Also the rear bearing should be checked as well as it may be part of or the cause of the sealing problem.
