Is it possible to pull the d6 with a large articulated trucck... volvo A30 and then start the d6 by engaging the transmission like pust starting a standard transmission auto ???? could you tell me if it is possible to do a rolling start on a 9u 1957 d6 by pulling it with a large articulated dump turck volvo A30.. since I dont know if the diesel is intact I would pre fer to see if I can make it start prior to either rebuilding the pony or doing an electric start... your thoughts and advice on this and if yes the best way to proceed after the blade is placed in an up position.. thanks wabster

Not a good idea to attempt pull start unless you know for sure the engine is free, otherwise you may cause damage in the process.

I have 2 of them 9u's and pull start both of them or run them down a hill, go easy on the clutch and heavy on the either make sure the foward reverse lever is pulled back toward the seat for the forward position.
