One of my projects from 5 years ago I have run this disk since 1985 plan on running it the rest of my time with 10 and 1/2 inch blade spacing and JD cone blades it does a fine job on first disking I then will use a 1200 the next time over. This is about a 1965 model not long before the end of Killefer 17afarmer

Nice looking disk. I have a similar JD made about the same time and same size and it appears a lot more "flimsy" than the Killefer. Killefer looks well made.

Nice one! Thanks for the photos; I have seen similar, with the inverted angle iron frame, not "boxed" like yours, and a trough to toss rocks or whatever into for weight. Rebuild was reminding me of my rice ranch days; they had a really nice SWECO fifth wheel implement carrier used for hoisting the Towner disks for rebuilding; made life easier for everyone. I saw a glimpse of yours, just as I was wondering how you split your disk. Hah! Looks like you spared no expense on yours. Very nice. I like the cast weights too. JM

Yes nice looking disc. I was thinking something was different, as this is the first time to see the boxed frame.
