Well after saving my first 12E from the scrapper 2 years ago, I just had the opportunity to save another, slightly newer 12E, from the scrapper.

It last ran a handful of years ago, just like my last one. So if we get a decent day, I'm going to go put some batteries in it and see if it will start!

not bad nick for it's age. a family friend was taught how to work a 12e by his dad when he was 12 ron is in his 80's now.
his dad was a grader driver for the hastings shire in nsw. there's is a photo at the port macquarrie airport of him grading in the airstrip with a 12e, years later they checked it with laser survey gear he was only out about a inch he had done the job by eye and feel.

its sad that many of these old girls have gone to scrap.

That looks like it was setup with a side-wing and a nose plow at one point. Very nice find indeed.thanks .

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
