Cat No. 66 scraper was created by RDCAT
My friend Bill who lives in Utah e-mailed me the following message with pictures of a Cat grader model 66:

" On the way to Salt Lake a few days ago I spotted this one next to US50 a few miles east of Scipio, UT. I've been going that way occasionally for years, and this thing looks like it has been there for a long, long time, but somehow I don't remember ever noticing it. I can't believe that anyone just left it there since the last time I passed that way. I could just barely make out "Caterpillar No. 66" on the frame."

He said he doesnt know who owns it. and said it looks abandon along side the road so I thought I would post incase someone might be looking for a Cat 66 scraper and be willing to look up the owner and perhaps save it from the scrap pile.

RDCAT,

That’s interesting. I used to travel that section of US-50 back in the late 80’s. We had a crushing and paving job on I-15 at Holden, Ut.. The few times I went home I would go north on I-15 to Scipio, then South on US-50 to I-70 then east to Colo. I don’t recall ever seeing it…but then of course it may not have been there then. Short note, we also did some work on Scipio Hill as well.
