Very nice 17A. What brand of hydraulic unit on the rear? Safe-T-Cab, SWECO, HCL Liv Power or ??? Several similarities in them because of the tank shape.

Thanks Gary. Maybe someone just did a tank swap. From the side view it does still look like 2 spool Be-Ge, some did nice change overs to high pressure as well.
I need to sort my pump pile here. I have been taking junk units and converting to 2 valve etc. with spare parts. Mixing and matching!
BTW, that is supposed to be the same paint the trailer guys used to paint one of my #40 scrapers with. Supposed to last a long time and no fading. JM

2 pack is hard wearing, has good very good chemical and fuel resistance and does hold its gloss well but it requires more expensive equipment to apply and inst a suitable for backyard use due to the very toxic compounds in the catalyst. they do have 2 pack paints that dont contain the isocyanate which are safer but that is still nasty stuff.

The pump is a BeGe PR220 if I remember right I put it on in about 1985., As far as painting 2 part IMRON as long as you use a good respirator and gloves i Is safe enough, as far as paint guns all I use is. Harbor Freight guns use their mid grade guns which I think are a little over a. $100.00 now, As far as a place to paint I have painted in a shop, out the open, and in a grain elevator shed , it doesn’t make any difference to me as long as I can see what I am doing without a lot of shadows! That D7 was painted right where it’s setting in that picture. If I can do it ANYBODY can do it. 17afarmer. Mike

the problem with isocyanate is your well and truly over exposed to it before you feel affected. hence why it needs supplied air or PAPR type respirators which have monitoring on the filters so you know when to change them. there is no way to tell visually or by weight if the chemical filter is worn out. these are 3 times the price of normal non pressurised respirators. and supplied air requires special filters to protect you from oil mist and chemical pneumonia.

yes working outside on the farm your probably okay as no one is close by. and fresh air with a light breeze helps keep the fumes at bay.
