Nice. Did you buy those from John S? or did you make your own adapters, etc? I by pure luck found a set of surplus ones on FB of all places from a JD guy that did not want them; of course that was a couple years after I already bought a nice set from John. Per his comments, it should take approximately 4.5 hrs to bolt them on. He was pretty darn close!
Those sure make parading around nicer. I have driven my D2 down the road before in 5th gear and received a few stares...I have also used the tractor to disc with and pull scraper with with no issue, other than a little slippery on wet grass (even the big rubber tracked units do that)

they also had steel road shoes as a genuine accessory for machines drawing trailers etc on the road network.

Yep, I bought them from John. They fit nice and went up the paved driveway without leaving a mark. It did take about 4 hours. Also a few pictures of the factory shoes. Bill

how do you think these pads would compare to the ones on my d2?( check tractor picture in my avatar) would they work with some modification?

Fred, you would need a grouser pad to bolt on these. The factory ones you have would need new rubber molded on the shoes. Like my CAT TEN does. Bill
