I am preparing to put D3 bottom rollers on a D2, but am not certain of the correct D3 roller part number.... for those who have done it, do you know the roller part numbers ???
I was given these numbers by Cat:2818338 is dbl flange, 2818339 is single flange. Both Regal Corp and Heavyquip say those are not good numbers... yet Florin Tractor in Sacramento,CA does recognise them.
Heavyquip says the numbers are probably:3T4353 and 3T4352.... which they have in stock.... but before I buy them and pay the shipping, I need to be sure. Thank You,Wayne

Hi Wayne,
I'm going from memory here (dangerous) but I seem to recall it takes the early version D3 rollers (before the D3B)....not sure why. Anyway I show these being 6S3608 for the double flange and 6S3607 for the single.
Check with Leu Reider....he lives up Green Valley Rd. and has been working on a conversion for some time.

I'm curious why you are putting D3 rollers on instead of D2? I have a D2 4U and I think I would like to add a top roller. Any suggestions for that?
Jim

New or good replacement D2 track rollers are getting extremely difficult to source. Early D3 track rollers bolt up with a relatively small amount of modification, and are still readily available.
If you want to fit a carrier roller to your tractor, seek out a D2 with carrier rollers that is being parted out.

The problem with using the D3 rollers is they are a much smaller diameter and require spacing from the track frame.
