I have a quick question about the belly pan. I have a friend that bent the rear belly pan on his D6 9U. He is looking to buy another one, anyone have an ideal where a person might get this item and possible cost? I think his could be straightened out with some heat and a big hammer. Maybe even a little cutting and welding. Someone told him that this would not work because heating the belly pan and hammering it out would weaken it. Any opinions on the weaken issue? I know straighten it out to get the bolt holes to fit will be fun. Thanks for your time and help ahead of time.

Straighten it out if you can, no worry that it will hurt it to heat/cut/weld as necessary IF you can weld. HA!Ha!
I expect you would be well advised to press it back staight if you can
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D
