This is a picture of a Cat recovery I made on Friday with a friend in the Salinas, CA area. The diesel 40 is one that my wife's grandfather bought new in the 30's as his first new tractor, was owned by at least 2 other farmers and now resides at my place for my son and me to bring back to life in memory of his great grandfather. The rest of the load are a couple of 10's, one very complete, loose, barn kept and nice and the other as an incomplete machine, a really nice 10 size orchard disk and lot of misc. parts. The 10's were a hair away from going into the scrap bin and on their way to China.
The Cat skid steer and the winch on the trailer made this recovery a snap.

That's doing it in style! Nice to have one with history.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D
