I had a torque link break on my clutch assembly and it blew the left side out on my clutch enclosure, messed up my starter pinion. I've tried to piece it back together and needless to say not GOOD! Does any one know if a later model clutch enclosure off a 4T1 would bolt in or not? Looking in my Parts book My PN 1F7088 fits serial numbers 7M5828 to 7M6346 then there is a updated PN 2F3317 that fits serial numbers 7M6347 to 4T1. Been calling a few salvage yards no ones for sure but it seems to have happened to a lot of them because any ones that I have found they are all welded up and messed up as well. My serial number is 7DM5830 any help locating one would be Appreciated! THANKS Doug

Doug, this guy in Pa. makes some metal side covers and not sure just what all he makes up and sells but you could give him a call and see what he says. His name is Geo. Logue and is in N.central Pa. and his Ph is (570) 368-2639 and he is located at 120 S. Arch St. Mountoursville Pa. 17754 He also has a museum of old Cats there on display. He also may have the answer as to what cover would fit from what serial numbers.

Yes, the top cover number does change but the only parts that appear to be any different is the cover gasket and the later covers have a data plate riveted to them. All the bottom covers are the same also up into the 3T/4T series.
Can't tell you for sure but looks close enough that I would give the later cover a try.
