D2 Diesel fuel in crankcase

Hi All,
My direct start orchard D2 5U had fuel in the crankcase. It had been running fine until after it's winter rest. Did some discing and started getting hot, and finally shut it down. Next day checked the dip stick and sure enough super clean and diesel in the crankcase. Rebuilt the transfer pump, but checked it today and ran it for a short time. and again diesel in the crankcase. The injector pump seems to be fine. Runs perfect when running and opened side cover on injector pump, and not leaking. What is the routing of fuel from the transfer to the injector pump? Or is the there a way for fuel from the injector pump or elsewhere to get into the crankcase? Thank you in advance! Pete

Probably the seal that goes between the injection pump and the fuel tower.  Very common for it to leak fuel into the crankcase.  See upper right photo #2. Injection pump has to come off to replace it.
