D2 injector problem

More

I have a late model D2 serial # 5U 13773. I have rebuilt the transfer pump and am trying to get it started. I have fuel all the way to the injectors but get no smoke. Any ideas on how to get these valves to open?

Fuel to injector nozzles or pumps? There are bleed screws behind the pumps [original ones]. Throttle open while bleeding nozzles? Throttle closed when bleeding pumps.

Is the throttle opened or pulled back enough? Compression lever in run position?

Yup , did that before.
Got excited because I ran out of fuel while on the road and forgot to put the compression lever to run.

How much pressure does the transfer pump.have to produce minimum to open the injectors. I had it running for about 5 seconds but it died and won't restart.

The transfer pump puts out just a few pounds of pressure about like an auto, I'd guess, 5 to 8psi. A quick check you can use a temp gravity feed tank or an electric fuel pump that should be of pressure.
Good luck
