I am trying to post a photo of a tool bar bracket (I dont know the proper name), so that I can find and buy a different size. I need 2 brackets like what shows at the top of the photo. They need to be for an  1 1/4 inch shank.. I have not found anything on line, but not knowing the proper name makes it difficult. I hope the photo works.  Any advice is welcome.  Grant.

Its a clamp, not for a shank but a bar.
this gets you the most views.

Thank you ag-mike. I was not at all sure if I had the vocabulary correct or not. I looked thru the link you gave, but did not see exactly what I need. I am going to look at ebay now and see what is available. I have a clamp that I took off of a plow bar that turned out to be for a 1 inch bar and the ripper bar is 1 1/4 inch. At least I have a better idea of how to ask for the part if I am calling someone. Thanks again. Grant.

You might try "diamond bar clamps" in your search as well.

Thanks Ray, I went to an old time tractor mechanic that is near me and he said that the brackets that I have are not available anymore. I ended up taking the ripper bars to a local machine shop that is going to use some type of mill to shave the portion of the bar down to 1 inch so I can use the brackets that I have. These bars are really heavy so I dont think loosing a little metal is going to be a problem. They are 1 1/4 by 6 by 32 inches. Maybe I can post another photo.

That is quite a different clamp than I have seen on other pieces of old farm equipment.  The only way may be to fabricate one from bar stock and it could be done.  The slot in it would only fit the one size shank. One of my old IH cultivators has a clamp for a 1" shaft but it transitions into a round shank.  Hope you have Good luck finding one but it looks pretty rare!

It came on a plow type shank for a John Deere Killefer. I have been told that they have not made Killefers in many years. I have decided to have the ripper bars/shanks milled down to 1 inch and use the clamps that I have. I think that it will all work out O.K. Grant.

The vegetable business not many years ago used a lot of that type clamps. Not being in that business I don't know about today, but real hard for me to think it is not around. I put diamond bar in a google search and there where a lot of hits.

I might even have some in the junk iron pile. I know there is one on my liquid fertilizer applicator. Mine are clamping coil spring shanks in the 1 inch size. In the old days always wanted the 1 1/4 size as far more robust. But have picked up enough I inch shanks I will never break them all at this stage of my life.

I doubt that I will ever break one of these beasts. I think that they are over strength for my old D4 6U. They came with the old steel wheel Killifer that I bought, but it was an estate sale and I think the guy gave me everything that he thought went with it. I have 5 plow type 1 inch bars and the two ripper bars that will soon have a 1 inch area for the clamp. I will use the ripper far more than plowing, since I am basically clearing roots and brush to expand my hobby orchard. I will also be doing some road making for fire protection and logging access. I am going to do a separate post to identify the grader that came with my D4. No name plate and I am sure it is not a Cat grader, but it is plenty beefy for what I want to do. Thanks, Grant.
