Hello All,
I don't know why, but the my magnito doesn't have an "M" stamp on the gear to line up to the pony motor - the pony motor also doesn't have a clear "M" stamp, but a rather faint "V" mark that is 180° opposed to the "C" marking. I was told the pony motor had timing issues when I purchased it so I don't know if the mag is meshed correctly to just put it back the same way I found it. How can I set the timing for the mag without these marks? Is there a spec on ret/adv angles that I can use instead - I haven't been able to find this anywhere.
Pony Motor S/N: B4666
Magnito Eismann RC-2GH

Hi DB,
scans below for D4 should help--please supply S/No for each new thread as you know what you are working and we do not, especially if answering multiple queries from several people on the day--some detective work found your request in the Wanted section.
Please let us know how you went so we can assist further--there can be other issues but I will not confuse things yet--we will stick to first basics to begin with,
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Thank you Eddie!
Sure enough beneath layers of paint I found the stampings on the flywheel!
