I just received a nice email letting me know my membership is about to expire. That is nice, as it gives me plenty of time to renew, should I decide to.
It also triggers past and present experiences with ACMOC. For the most part, it has been pleasant.
What is the current situation with the "store" and merchandise availability? I ask for myself and others that have some "items" that have not arrived yet.
Could someone from the "inside" please step forward and provide answers? Easier to ask here, rather than waiting until Tuesday to phone or email.
Waiting patiently...........Juiceman and company.

Hello Jen Ming,
I cannot answer your store questions myself, so I have sent your message to Mary, who will hopefully respond in the near future.
Best Regards, John

Would someone from the Board of Directors chime in? It would help in the decisions to spend dollars in support of the club.
How about the updated minutes? When will they be available to view? Nothing since the April 26th meeting. Some of us like to get an idea of what goes on each month, aside from what might be shared in the magazine. JM

Hello JM,
I will respond on behalf of the Board of Directors as a Director and leader of the "Webtech" committee.
I can see your order in the system, but as I am in the UK and not very familiar with the store merchandise and processes, it is difficult for me to give you a status update although I believe that decals are made to order, so this could account for a delay. Mary will be able to update you better than I can as Neil has said.
Regarding the BOD minutes, I will make sure that the minutes of meetings are posted as soon as practical, although as the minutes of one board meeting are approved at the next board meeting, there will always be some delay. I can see no reason why the minutes from the meetings held on 24 May, 28 Jun and 5 Jul should not have been posted and I will endeavour to post them in the members area in the next few days.
The directors as I'm sure you know are all unpaid volunteers who devote a huge amount of time to running the club on behalf of the members. It is not always easy and can be a thankless task on occasions, but most of the time is very rewarding. It would be great if more members took an active role in running the club to share the burden and workload.

it happens in all clubs that sumwaanelse mentality,
that sumwaanelse that chinese bloke will come do all the work trouble is that someone else never arrives. it was like that with the youth group i was involved with the one person was secretary for everything for about 25yrs when she left they ran around like headless chooks for a while until they figured it out.
it happened with the machinery club too the same 3 people were president secretary and treasurer for about 7yrs until they stood up and told everyone we don't want to do it any more if you cant find nominees amongst you we will pass a motion to close the group it put the cat amongst the pigeons and we had new office bearers.
office bearers in groups should be treated like politicians and babies nappies full of pissnwind and should be changed often sadly that doesnt happen.

JM,
In addition to Johns response, I will add one detail. The club made the decision to only have Mary in the warehouse to pack and ship orders 1 day a week, in order to help prevent her driving to and from the warehouse numerous times a week, and as a result taking away time for her to manage the rest of the club business. We are looking at options to add some part time help for the warehouse part of the job, but these decisions take tame and research to make sure we do it the correct and most feasible way for the club. Orders have also been taking longer to get to certain places due to all the logistic nightmares that the globe has had to deal with due to the Covid situation. Orders are still getting processed and they will show up. I hope this helps to clear a few things up for you.
Thank you
