933G Starter and Generator

More

A few months back I bought a 933G with the turbo diesel. Through some research I have found it has the D320T engine but haven’t been able to find out much else.
I bought the full set of manuals and that helps. But trying to find parts using those numbers leads to nothing.
I can’t find information on parts interchange. What other models used this motor? What starters will fit? What generators will fit? Where can I get them? The local dealer here is not interested in helping.

You can always look up part numbers yourself on parts.cat.com, and also goggle turns up quite a few of them too

If only it was that easy…
parts.cat.com requires an exact serial number. This is a very old machine and the serial number seems warn off. It is 42A8??? where the last three can’t be made out. I tried my best guesses but cat online keeps rejecting them.
Google searches don’t help as none of the starters match the part number in my parts manual of 8H8467. So which if any are correct?
I have many hours of research in online already. But there seems to be no way to match my part number to a part without more information.

A 933G with D320T will have a s/n of 42A5918-up
The starter is a Delco 42MT 24v -11 Tooth unit used with your 9H1132 Adapter.
Here's one source.

The Generator is a Delco Remy unit 24v, 15A.
Can be a Delco # 1105235, 1105241 or a 1105990 model. All equivalent to the Cat # 1S0151 unit.
Commonly used unit on various equipment of that era.

Delco says the replacement is an alternator #1117647. Has anyone tried replacing the generator with one of these alternators?

the secret to searching the old part numbers is to add a zero or two to get the 6 character part numbers example 7b234 would be 7b0234 or 7b00234 the system cant find the shorter numbers as it doesnt understad that shorter numbers existed. also search engine are your friend i have been able to find cross reference this way.

i have found our local dealer helpful too when finding parts if i had a part number it gave them somewhere to start.

Thank you to everyone who answered. Last weekend I put in a new starter and batteries and it starts instantly. I will monitor the generator and batteries but for now it is running great.
