just wondering if when I order an umbrella from Caterpillar if it comes with the stand to mount to your cat? the new cat part number is 187-6649? with it being really hot this summer and show season coming around. I was thinking about getting one. cat's website doesn't say.

I believe Femco and Snow-co are one and the same as umbrellas go and come with a so called universal mounting kit that is a tube, a couple of rods with adjustments and mounting ends and that is it. Someone else on the board made a bracket to mount his umbrella by welding a tube on a plate and bolting it to the seat. That would be the simple way to go.

About 25 years ago I bought a yellow umbrella with "Caterpillar" on it but I don't know where. My Cat dealer had one displayed in their parts store a few years back and it was a plane Jane snow-co yellow with no logo.
Umbrellas can be found at Tractor Supply, Shoup parts, and other places but I believe they are all without logos. I know Shoup sells replacement canvas for about $40.

Hi All,
I picked this up yesterday after doing some research I found the part number and Cat had it in store, so I brought it.

Wow, that's great!
I'd love to see a pic of how and where you mount it. I'm assuming the short length of tube is a mount with some stabilising ties?
Paul.
