Posting a question Have a 966b loader with serial number 57h310 that has a dead d333a engine. would a older 3306b cat engine fit up to the bell housing on it. I had conflicting ansers on this from local people around here,so hopefully there is some one on this site that is in the know thanks for any and all replies

Yes, apparently it will bolt up at the rear, with some alterations. Most of the challenge is making things work up front.
Here's some notes I kept from a conversion. Also happened to also be a 966B.

Thanks Old Magnet That sure is a different story one guy told me it will fit up no problem one other guy said minor adjustments now this one from old Magnet I think I will not bother switching engines and just part the loader out be cheaper in the long haul

is the original engine beyond repair. if so the yes parting out is a answer atleast some of it can live again.
