Rock River Thresheree will be holding their reunion over Labor Day Weekend. This years feature is Nichols & Shepard equipment and the Wade Bros collection. As a special feature this year there will be a attempt to set a worlds record threshing ring of at least 20 machines threshing at one time(I think we are up to 25 now). This will be done on Saturday with Steam at 11am and gas and oil tractors at 1pm. The Wade collection has 4 Cat pieces at the show a D-6, D-4, D2 and a 66 pull grader. Also ACMOC Chapter 4 and HCEA "Midwest Earth Movers" will be represented at the show. There is a display area right inside the ticket gate for construction equipment and there will be digging done at the north end of the park. Besides other equipment working we should have a Cat elevating grader running in the work area also. There will be shuttles running between the ticket gate and digging area. Thresherman's Park is located midway between Edgerton and Janesville WI on Hwy 51. Entrance to the park during the show will be at the County Rd M entrance. Signs will be posted to guide you in to the park. There are many things to see and do at the show. A muesum full of steam and large diesel stationary engines, a sawmill, blacksmith shop, sorgum mill, operationg two foot gage train, model engines, many gas engines along with tractors, plowing and threshing steam pile driver operating, a large flea market, restored Fulton Town Hall and log cabin and many great food stands. You can check out the show and get contact #s at

We have about 20 pieces on the grounds and lined up for display. We have Al Smith's Elevating Grader set up and took a couple of spins with it It worked very well. Al is bringing in his 35( 40 already here and his 955 also). He is also bringing in his brother's 22B B&E crane with a drag line or clamshell set up. Bill Schuldt brought in a couple of units today also. Norm's Grader and a loader. Chuck C brought his D2 and took the first round with the Elevating Grader. All is shaping up. More prairie tractors and threshing machines showing up every day.

Here is some pictures of the digging that went on yesterday. Lee Sorbel got a chance to run Al Smith's grader. There is a group photo of Al Smith, Paul Smith, Ted Uber, Mark B, Lee and my son Kevin. I think all had a good time. More digging Demo today, But the big event today is the attempt to set a worlds record with a Threshing Ring. At last count there was 27 or 28 machines, They are going to do it twice once with steam and once with gas and oil tractors. That will be some thing to see.

The big threshing ring was run today. I was on a diesel Case tractor. We were going to put the 60 on one of the machines, But they were full up and had a waiting list. We might put it on a machine on Sunday or Monday. Will see. Mark is getting real handy running the 60 and elevating grader. Had alot of ACMOC members stop by and watch us , some even joined in. We had several Chapter 4 members here and joining in. We were giving out kids constrution hats to any future operator that wanted them.

I've been trying to work out how those C45 and C20 scrapers operate on just the one hyd circuit. Does it just have to do with the shape of the bowl and position of the pivot point?
Could someone enlighten me.
Thanks.
