D2/D4 pony carbs was created by hfdzl
I recently picked up a box of pony carbs. Sorted thru and found 4 that look OK at first glance, but on a real look the choke and throttle levers are on the wrong side .Wiewed  from the float bowl side. So what are these for? Can't even use on a Cat, the castings are just enough different to swap everything to the other side. They will now just go in the archives. Will post photos in a bit
the 1 with a bowl is Cat.

It has been talked a about using carb gasket kits from John Deere. Some of there late 2 cylinders tractors where diesels and used a pony motor for starting. I have never even looked at one at a show so don't know how much was the same on the carb. Just that a gasket kit was usable on the Cat pony carb. So maybe that is what you have.

Hey there, I'm rebuilding a D6 8U-2042 Pony Motor and could use a bowl for the carb,,, mine has pin holes in the bottom and a lot of pitted corrosion on bottom. I see the fist one is a Zeneth that looks similar to mine. There should be a gold round tag on top of the bowl, carefully clean and you should be able to read the numbers. If it matches what I have I would be interested, thank s Scoop

Scoop, the first one is a true Cat carb. Just there for comparison, staying in my parts stash.

Whelp my jet assembly separated while taking the carb apart, P/N 5F7640, and I'm looking for another one (or a whole carb/throttle body). I didn't realize it was 2 parts, but the needle was stuck in the throttle body and the threaded section spun out - it's just a heavy press fit between the needle and threaded base. My backup plan is to try and fabricate one using some .093 x .014 wall brass tube. Anyone out here have a carb they're willing to sell? If not I'll buy parts - I also need a new choke plate shaft, P/N 9B4977 I believe. The screws sheared off when trying to remove them after melting the solder, I may not have gotten the backside hot enough. I can try to drill out the fasteners, but it would be easy to just turn a new part if I can't find a replacement.

If anyone has a jet assembly laying around but not wanting to sell, I could really use a dimension check on the dimensions labeled "A", "B", and "C" on the attached PDF.
