Rebuilding the engine on a D4C with D330 motor. A couple of the liners are low, does anyone know the part number for liner shims for this motor? are they still available from Cat?. My parts book doesn't show any shims or part numbers for them. There were shims in place when I pulled it apart but they disintegrated when pulled out.

Thanks
Gary

Hi Gary,
Product Bulletin with liner shim numbers and thicknesses.
Service Manual specs. that apply to all Cat Engines for liner protrusion requirements.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

I probably posted that, came from the 3304/3306 service manual. Mostly applies to earlier engines as well but not necessarily all of the info.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
